The idea for these bottles originated through my quest for a creative, fun, engaging way to share my artwork with people. Each sketch is inspired by the magic of nature and freehanded in ink, to capture the pure impression of the moment. I sketch them onto pressed flower paper because it is more durable, and I really like the texture. The messages are all about 7” by 3,” bound with cord and a paper flower. Each message inside correlates with the inscribed token pendant. The corked bottles contain bright green moss and a Lodolite “garden quartz” crystal, featuring a thought token on beaded wax linen cord to be carried as a good luck charm. As a final touch, I added a band of washi tape colored like marbled paper, to commemorate our visit to the paper marbling studio during our time in Florence, Italy.
