Back in January, I made a commitment to myself to be consistent in my morning meditation practice, and grow in my understanding of yoga. Over the course of this year, it has become an essential part of my life and uplifts every aspect of who I am. In my studies, I encountered a lot of information about crystals. I’ve always been drawn to them. As a kid, I would collect every interesting rock I could find and make colorful boxes to keep them in. I have always felt an inherent respect and appreciation for these incredible treasures of the earth.

When I began working with the chakras, The Grumpy Gnome noticed that I was studying the crystals associated with each energetic center and their properties. I was learning about how different crystals resonate with different frequencies of our energetic vibration. To me, the metaphysical qualities are every bit as fascinating as the science of how they came to be. We began researching together, and discovered that there are locations where you can go and do your own prospecting! With that in mind, we continued to catalogue every resource and place we could find to help us learn more about crystals, stones, mineralogy…and started this collection.

Here are photos of some of our favorite pieces. As we continue to learn, prospect, trade, and collect, I’ll add more information on the unique and wonderful qualities of each crystal.
