This whimsical set of carriage horse bookends are hand-fashioned. Each bookend is made from poplar wood, constructed with wooden dowel. Beeswax finish showcases the natural quality of the wood grain. The base of the bookends are lined with felt. Cast metal carriage horses are affixed atop antique volumes of The Yale Shakespeare. Books are permanently attached. The carriage horses, acquired by The Grumpy Gnome, are antique metal figurines that I have refurbished to a brassy sheen with gold leaf wax.
